- Born in Tampico, Illinois, on February 6, 1911
- His father was John Edward "Jack" Reagan and his mother Nellie Wilson Reagan
- He went into entertainmeant and appeared in more then 50 film. While in hollywood, he served as president of the Screen Actor's Guild an met his future wife.
- Ronald Reagan went to Dixon High School, where he was an athlete(Football, Basketball, Ran Track and was captain of the swim team) student body president and performed in school plays.
- During the summer he worked as a life guard in Dixon.
- He enrolled at Eureka College in Illinois on an athletic scholarship, Reagan majored in economics and sociology. Played Football, Basketball, Ran Track and was captain of the swim team there.
- After he graduated in 1932, he found work as a radio sports announcer in Iowa.
- In 1937, Reagan signed a seven-year contract with the Warner Brothers movie studio.
- He was disqualified from combat duty due to poor eyesight and spent his time in the Army making training film.
- From 1947 to 1952, Reagan served as president of the Screen Actors Guild. During this time, he met actress Nancy Davis, who had sought his help after she was mistakenly listed as a possible communist sympathizer on the "Hollywood blacklist."
